I pride myself on being pragmatic, which is why I run my business with simplicity and practicality at its core. I lay out a productive path for my nonprofit clients — not an ethereal, tangled mess of theory and jargon filled with CRUTs, CRATs, and other distractions. But beyond just the practical steps, I also bring inspiration, because it’s not only about the “how” but also the “why.” I show how to make your nonprofit genuinely inspire donors; how to craft a mission that truly makes a difference in the world.

Making Money Is Not an Elusive Art

Making money by selling products isn’t some elusive art or rocket science. It’s accessible to anyone willing to learn and put in the effort — something our education system doesn’t emphasize enough. I learned business early on, just like I learned to play classical guitar. My relationship with money is a happy one: I enjoy making it, spending it, giving it away, and keeping it moving. Money should move; it should flow, and it should serve a purpose. Wealth is not a zero-sum game. But making money just for the sake of it never fascinated me. It’s mundane. Without creativity, passion, and purpose, business becomes blah. True fulfillment comes from building something meaningful — a powerful brand, real relationships, true friends who enrich people’s lives. And when you enhance people’s lives, they often pass that positivity forward. That’s the job of nonprofits. That’s rewarding.

Greater Purpose

Just selling without a greater purpose isn’t the path to long-term success. Short-term fads, like the Pet Rock, eventually fade away. This is also why I don’t support higher taxes. The more resources I have, the more I can give — whether it’s through donations, bonuses for employees, or spending that supports others’ welfare and creates jobs. Time and again, it’s been shown that higher taxes and poor stock performance discourage philanthropy and spending. Common sense, no? But when you combine profit with purpose — when you align passion, sound principles, and solid business practices — wealth becomes a byproduct of a fulfilling journey. It becomes easier and more rewarding to build something meaningful: wealth for yourself and others, stronger relationships with your employees and customers, and a legacy that truly lasts. No CRUTs or CRATs. No confusion. Just passion, purpose, and results.
